Global Ex-US Equity team

We believe that the magnitude and duration of growth driven by change is often underestimated, and that companies undergoing positive fundamental change typically continue to outperform. Identifying these types of opportunities in fast-growing and inefficient markets is at the core of our team’s philosophy.

Joseph Devine, Chief Investment Officer — Global Ex-US Equity

Our investment approach, dating back to 1997, is designed to add value in inefficient equity markets, with a focus on international small-caps, emerging markets, and emerging markets small-caps. To do this consistently, our close-knit team is organized by geography across sectors, applying a consistent approach toward idea generation. Our investment process, shared across the strategies we manage, seeks positive fundamental change and is combined with fundamental research, a broad focus on risk management, and a nimble approach to decision making.

Key elements of our investment philosophy:

  • We believe the magnitude and duration of growth driven by change is often underestimated, and companies undergoing positive fundamental change typically continue to outperform.
  • We seek to substantiate the positive change within each company, using evidence such as a sustainable catalyst and timeliness in terms of positive relative price strength.
